All sprouts are loaded with nutrients and are a great way to add fresh, live nutrition to one’s diet. Much attention has been given to broccoli, and in particular, broccoli sprouts over the past few years due to extensive research carried on by scientists at universities such as London, Tokyo, UCLA and John Hopkins, to name a few.

It turns out that broccoli sprouts contain a lot of sulfurophane glucosinolate (SGS) and antioxidants.
This phytonutrient has been proven to be effective for cancer, macular degeneration, even aging (!) and other conditions (see science). Studies show that 3 – 4 day old broccoli sprouts contain 20 to 100 times the amount of sulforaphane glucosinolate (SGS) found in mature broccoli heads.
